Polished Borla Muff
As many have said, the new Borla TD system comes delivered with an unpolished muffler. I didn't like it much either so I went to work with some 600 grit sandpaper for a quick shine. It really polishes quickly and easily.
I plan on a proper shine on the visible section after install, but here's what a few minutes of sanding will get.

Re: Polished Borla Muff
Mani, Just got it this past week, and it's scheduled to go in this week for install.
I'll get some pics of the b4 and after install and post.

Re: Polished Borla Muff
Saweet. I am really interested to see how it looks sorta relative to the stock exhaust - i.e. noticeably bigger or about the same. I can't tell based on the current pics I have seen out on the web.
Re: Polished Borla Muff
the tips noticably bigger, and they stick out past the rear bumper about an inch, just enough to see the borla written on each tip. i just got mine installed today, and i am loving it so far, as far as sound and performance.

Re: Polished Borla Muff
Tabz, I tried some 'Metal and Wheel' polish on the Borla Muffler today with good results. It didn't leave any fine scratches as the sandpaper did, and didn't need as much vigorous rubbing.
Can't tell you what the cleaner is because it's not in the original container, but I would think any good metal or chrome cleaner will work.
I measured the chrome tip openings on the Borla and they're 4.5" as opposed to the stock 4".
As you said, they stick out another inch to expose the Borla name. Sweet lookin' pipes.
