Rear mounted brake light...pic request

My rear mounted brake light is on the fritz and before i take it to the dealer, i wanna see how someone elses looks like. First of all, I think there's a total of 5 leds. Only 4 works...secondly when I press on the brakes, the leds are dim. if anyone has pics or can take pics, I'd greatly appreciate. TIA!

Heyyyy.. I just had a spoiler installed at a dealership and guess what I found out today, I have 2 rear brake lamps beside the tail lights... one on the spoiler and one on top of my back seat.

I had a real hard time placing my laptop just right so it would hold on the brake pedal to look at it, If you want a picture of the rear lamp light wait until I pick up wifey from work so I can have her step on the brakes for me while I take pic.. I'll check back in about 2 hours to see if anyone already posted a pic.. but anyways..

What the hell I been driving around like this for quite some time.. my cars been looking retarded in the back with 4 brake lamps.. come to think of it.. this should be unique.. right?...

Not sure if this pic is what your looking for, I think it may be a little hard to see how many LED's there are exactly but basically it sort of looks like 5 I guess.

You should unplug the one on the rear shelf anyway. You only need the one on the spolier. Your spolier must have been added at the dealer. If it done at the factory you wouldn't have one one the rear shelf.

The dealer had unplugged my rear shelf 3rd brake light during the install of my rear spoiler. I have since removed the extra 3rd brake light altogether.

Hey 2Evolved I was looking at getting a spoiler put on my G35 also But I have the G35x. How much was the spoiler and how much did the dealership charge you to install it?

The rear shelf light is quite simple to remove. You simply push forward and pull up on it. It should just pop right out. There is a small wire harness, which you just disconnect. If you do decide to remove the light completely, it will leave a few small holes and 1 large hole. This I remedied by getting a piece of 16 ga. anodized aluminum approx. 10" x 11" and covering it with a piece of cloth, which matched the color of the rear shelf. Placing the aluminum piece over the holes was a good alternative to the unsightly 3rd brake light.

Edit: Damn, Igor . . . You were quick on that one.

No prob bro...actually your pics came in handy. My rear mounted brake lights only half your brightness and like i said, only 4 of the 5 works. I guess I'll take it to the dealer. I mean they are leds and not your normal bulbs from pep boys right?
