Hey, which dealership you at in SoCal, I'm coming to you if I have any problems...

BMW tried to pull this B.S. on me and after talking to the head guy it was fixed no problem, 1 month later I sold the car, if a car maker can't stand behind their product, I don't want it.

Don't let this $hit slide, the more people allow this to happen, the more it will happen.

I know I was too nice to them and let it off easy. I will call the dealer again and see what happens. And certainly keep you guys posted!

That's true, but many Dealers will not touch a modded car. This happens a lot with M3s, since many of them are modded. You can easily find yourself in a catch 22 situation, since warranty claims can be denied if the car isn't properly maintained and many Dealers won't work on modded cars.

A little far but I'm definitely going to you when I run into problems. Which I currently am with Santa Monica Infiniti. How much are the '06 projector assemblies going for with you? Thanks.

By the way, anyone else having this problem? It's intermitent and usually happens when I'm in 1st gear and just barely rolling. I hear this sound from under the forward portion of the vehicle. It sounds like a small electrical motor or fan is going off and lasts for about 2 to 3 seconds and then it's gone. My car is at the dealer as we speak and they've said they can't reproduce the problem. Honestly, I don't even know if it's a problem or not, but a sound like that just can't be normal, IMO. Anyone else have ever experienced this problem? I'm stumped and can't figure it out. Thanks.

hells YEA! you took the words right outta my mouth! i was all fired up to tell him about the law, too. ahhh well.

anyway, DEFINITELY DEFINITELY DEFINITELY do NOT take this sitting down. this is a $35,000+ vehicle that you paid for under the impression that it would WORK. in the case that it does NOT this is what warranties are for. What's that? he says your warranty is void now? B.S., brotha. I say you go back there and tell HIM what the deal is. They are there to service YOU, not the other way around.

here's a quick search hit on the subject: http://www.magnusonproducts.com/magnusonmoss.htm

check it out. print out three copies: one for your records, one to hand to the service manager, and one to shove sideways up his @$$

good luck!!!

I spoke to my dealer again, mentioned the Maguson Moss Act. He told me bring it in again and have a tech ride with me. Brought it in this morning and the tech and I rode around a bit, I drove thru their indoor service area. But guess what? No "clicking" sound from the axle So now I look like a total Jackass. Any of you guys have this on, off problem?

Yep, find another dealer. I had mine replaced after I did my suspension with no hassle what so ever. I have found that talking to them and killing them with kindness worked on all my warranty work even with the mods. But it's up to the dealer they can let you slide if they want on MOST issues. I even had my TB replaced after I did the Crawford plenum, I have gotten to know the service guy at my dealer pretty well and I think it has helped allot. Good luck!
