Whining noise on 5AT around 20-40 mph?

Anyone else have this? I bought the G35 Coupe 3 weeks ago and have recently noticed a high pitched whining noise when accelerating around 20-40 mph.

I brought the car in to the dealer and was told that it was normal? Just curious if it was normal or if I'm the only one.

Also, I only have 600 miles on the car so think back to when you first got your G in case it goes away after the break in period.

Thanks.

Don't remember having that problem. Is it so loud that you can hear it inside the car?

I have that whining noise as well. It happens at high RPM's. I drive a 5AT and going to bring my car in for servicing friday. I'll ask what the whistling noise is when I bring it in.

Yes, you can hear it inside the car...

don't know about outside. Don't know if it is the engine or the transmission, but, it only occurs when my foot is on the accelerator and going 20-40...not necessarily accelerating, but, when maintaining that speed as well.

It is very noticeable unless I have the radio on at a decent level. I really enjoyed the exhaust note of the car at lower speeds but cannot appreciate it because of the high pitched accelerating noise.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe I should turn the stereo down a little bit, it seems that I never hear any noises, or my hearing is going bad!

Possible that the transmission or even the generator would make that noise , My car does not have it so do persuit with you dealer.
