I think my car is alot lower then yours and i have never ever hit my exhaust mufler(the y pipe is a diffrent story)

If you are just driving over the bumps slowly but normal that is your problem.

What you need to do is take the speedbump, driveway at an angle. Try and get one wheel over the bump at a time. Basicly trying to get the car as vertical along the bump as possible.

my Tanabe is also angled down like that.....hopefully i wont have probs when i decide to lower.....

btw...since the HKS has its own two cans....those cans are situated/angled higher than most single muffler systems right?

Bad design. They could have made it higher up.

my fuji is the same.... the spot where i really rub is the Y-pipe, which is bad b/c the flex sections on my Y-pipe are taking a beating.

i have bottomed the muffler 1-2 times, mostly coming out of gas stations and driveways that have a steep ramp.

also with my setup (Fuji exhaust and Y-pipe, crawford cats, and TopSpeed headers) in the area of 1800-2200 rpm there is a vibration somewhere near the driver side header/cat.

Do you guys think instead of bending the cross member, could I just use dynamat extreme on the section its hitting? I have left over from my stereo install And would the same work for the heatsheild the cat it hittting or will it get to hot?

Just hammer that heatshield out of the way. It's a common problem.

Why is dynomatt a bad idea? I was thinking of putting dynomatt on too. Not just to stop the section from hitting but to also for sound deadening. There is dynomatt material they make for the engine compartment, would that work better than dynomatt extreme?

Anyone planning on selling their fuji exhaust in California?

Do not put dynomat on the exhaust itself. But you can put it on the panels of the car. But it might start to peel eventually due to rain/etc.

Just remove the heatshield.

+1 ^

If you want to lower the sound in the cabin, use the Dynomat inside only.

any of you guys w/ aftermarket exhaust get a clanking/rattling under the floorboards? I only get this when my steering wheel is turned all the way left/right and under throttle.

Example. Pulling out of parking spot...you back out... you then turn the steering wheel all the way left/right (depending which way you wanna go)...then accelerate and thats when I feel grinding/clanking under the floorboards. I think its the x pipe section of the invidia hitting the panels or maybe even my stock cats...not sure...

had reaaaally bad rattling at first...went to dealer and they adjusted it for me....but when the steering wheel is turned left/right from a standstill and i take off...i feel it...
