I belive it's,

4yr/48000 for standard warranty (bumper to bumper)
6yr/60000 for engine/drivetrain warranty

for anyone that's confused about warranty coverage.

Infiniti sells extended warranties WHILE your car is still under your 4/60. I have 20k now, and will buy the plan in Nov. before I hit 30k.

There are some cars that I wouldn't own unless they were covered by a warranty. The Porsche 996 is a good example. Owning a G35 out of warranty wouldn't be that much of a risk IMO. Chances are that you will spend more for the warranty than for out of warranty repairs.

You generally will hit most of your problems before 60k miles. Sure you may have a few things before 100k but it has to be pretty major to go over the $1200 to $1500 the warrenty will cost. Its sort of like pre-buying insurance that not required. On average they do make alot of money on the warrenty's so probability says you would be better off without one.

That's not true at all. Plenty of things on the car can last 60k and break by 100k. You think it's better to own a car with 75k than 50k? The more miles, the more problems. It's not the other way around

This guy came in to our dealership with an 05 with 678 miles on it and we APS twin-turbo'ed his car with fcon VPRO HKS engine management. Talk about someone who don't care.

Yeah seriously... On my other car, I made it to 90,000 miles without any failures other than a power window motor. But after that the car is falling apart.

EGR went out, Fuel injector went out, A/C blower went out, and now I think the tranny is starting to go out.

On my G, the Navi went out within the first month of ownership. Hopefully it doens't die anymore, but the dealer said that part is like a $1700 item or something like that.

57,250 here and so far the only problem with the car is the tiresome squeeking of the drivers seat and some squeeking coming from the front wheels or suspension. I will take it in before the basic warranty expires to have all TSB fixed!
DOES anyone know the cause of the squeeking from the front suspension?

Agreed. They wouldn't sell it for that amount if, as a whole, they weren't making a bunch of money from it. Odds are on the house for this, I'm afraid.

Someone in this thread mentioned selling their G soon before it depreciates too much in value. I looked up my 1 year old G on kbb and the private party sale value is about $500 under what I paid for it. These bad boys are holding their value!

Hmm, I've had mine for 38 days and have 840 miles. Unfortunately I'll be out of town for the next 6 weeks so I'll be lucky to put 1000 miles on it in the first 3 months of ownership!
