It seems like most people are saying minor mods won't void the basic warranty, but I was wondering about intake mods specifically, because I've heard of stories where it was claimed by the dealer that the filter oil on K&N type filters (I'm using the JWT Pop-Charger + Ztube configuration) can cause problems in the engine, and therefore voids the warranty. Has anyone been denied coverage because of an intake? I'm at 56k with a 5/16 spacer and the jwt intake, so I need to go in, but would rather not disassemble everything if I don't have to. Sorry if this is a dumb question (new member).
The bottom line with warranties and modifications, is that if you do a modification and something goes wrong in that general area of your vehicle, don't expect (legally or ethically) the manufacturer to cover it. Changing the tires doesn't mean your air conditioner warranty is void. They still need to show that you altered something that affects the non-working area of the car you want covered under the warranty.

We all know 1st year models, like 2003 coupes will have more issues than later years. Did the sedan comeout in 2002>? I have had the dealer do major preventive work already, esp. window motors etc... early cars have issues
