just visually check out the gasket.. if it looks torn or bent then its damanged.. if not then its good... CHECK TO SEE IF YOUR THROTTLE BODY IS PLUGGED IN!!! if there is a vacuum leak he'll be able to drive his car around.. just a very rough idle but if its at cruising speed a smalll vacuum leak like a plenum or even if he left the PCV valve open it'll still be driveable.. just rough idle
