Vaccuum leak!
Reseal it... The Skunk2 is a soft cast piece and is not machined line most, you need to make gaskets or use RTV silicon sealant or it will leak and give you problems like you are expiriencing now.

+1 ^

Are you also running a cold-air intake with it (if so, which one)?

+2 on vacuum leak, esp with Skunk spacer and you didn't use the silicone sealant as they suggested.

is silicone sealant going to work? I mean, he plenum and the upper cover gets really hot.. I put the plenum, and had same problem so ended up taking out, but I think there is very small leak. Would silicone sealant solve tis problem without melting?

Stick to a gasket (or 2!) if necessary. Don't mess with silicone unless you know what you're doing.
When tightening down the bolts, make sure that there's nothing pinched in between, and that the bolts are tightened evenly and gently to about 10ft lbs. - NO MORE.

Regular red hi temp RTV is good for up to 650 degrees, so yes, it will work fine if applied properly.

I agree, sealing is an art, make an upper and lower gasket if you are not going to take the time and prep the surfaces properly for the RTV.

10ft lb.. if you dont have a torque wrench.. hold the very top of the rachet (where the bearing is at) assuming you're using a 3/8" rachet with an extension then tighten it as much as u can with out hurting your hand then stop.. thats about 10-14lb of torque

guys i took the plenum spacer off i torqued the bolts to 10lb but i still have the start up problem. at start up and only at stat up the rpm goes to about 1000-1200 then back to 0 sometiems it shuts off the car or soemtimes it goes back up and the car runs fine after that. i checked the bolts again, checked the battery, unploged the MAF sensor pluged it back in reseted the ECU. same thing. CAN THE STOCK GASKET BE DAMAGED?

just visually check out the gasket.. if it looks torn or bent then its damanged.. if not then its good... CHECK TO SEE IF YOUR THROTTLE BODY IS PLUGGED IN!!! if there is a vacuum leak he'll be able to drive his car around.. just a very rough idle but if its at cruising speed a smalll vacuum leak like a plenum or even if he left the PCV valve open it'll still be driveable.. just rough idle
