Re: Graduate financing and difference between Brill. Silver and Des. Platinum

I'm not sure I have tier one credit... I think there is a chance that I have not had active credit for long enough to be concidered tier one.

I do not know enough about how they figure out interest rates at infiniti dealers... I guess it is possible that my salesman is quoting me a higher interest rate than what infiniti's credit division is quoting the dealership. It would be extra money for the dealer, right? Maybe someone can let us know how this all works?

I'm not sure how good my deal was, but I think it was ok. 4.59% financing and $350 off MSRP seems to be about on par with the average around here. I'm a little unsure about buying a '03 this late in the season without getting more off MSRP, but the salesman told me the '04 would not be out until late Oct. or Nov. and I wasn't interested in waiting that long. Anyway, can't wait until Monday!

Hi:

You are probably getting a good deal. A few years ago people were happy to pay 7 to 8% for an auto loan. And that was with good credit! My home, which is an appreciating asset has a 15 yr rate of 5.375% Any time we can buy a car for less than a 15 yr mortagage, then it is probably a good deal.

I am going to get a better deal through another lender and then just pay off the entire loan through IFS. I need some time though...too freaking busy.
