Looking for 12volts constant
Hi to everyone out there. Great site and loads of helpful info here, so thanks for that! Was wondering if anyone knows where to tap into 12volts constant within the center console of a 2004 6mt? Theres plenty of switched 12v but i cant find anything constant anywhere
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much.
Neal.

12 volts
the best place to get it would be under the dash because the only other place i can think of is behind the radio and to get there you still would need to drop the lower panel. here is the colors you would need and others you can use. i am a install in the bronx area so i have access to this info.
12volts- white/blue (40A) + ignition harness
Starter white/red or red/white + ignition harness
Second Starter white/green + ignition harness
Ignition black/red + ignition harness
Second Ignition N/A
Third Ignition N/A
Accessory white/black + ignition harness
Second Accessory N/A

Thanks for the quick reply. i just found a constant 12v at the fuse panel harness but its further away than i'd like. Just to make sure i understand, are you saying that white/blue is constant 12 volts? or any of the color combos mentioned below? It needs to be a constant 12v (always on). I could check with a meter i guess but just wondering...
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

12 volt
no the white with blue is the only constant the others are only on with the key. but these wires are in the ignition harness which is a set of wires coming down from the ignition and the constant wire would not be a real skinny wire it is about a 12 or 14 gauge wire . if you dont know 2 much about wiring i would suggest trying to get it from the fuse box then maybe a door lock fuse might be constant or something. test it with a meter. what are you tryin to hook up?

Thanks for the offer. Perhaps if you looked at this link for me from the Parrot pdf it may explain better. Notice the boxed in area about installing the power supply cable. It mentions having to reverse the 2 12v wires in some cars...

ok.... i looked at it and im confused about the power supply.... if u draw 12v constantly you will eventually drain the battery.... but that aside it says to reverse the fuse holder.... the best advice i could offer you is.... go to the audio section of this site and link this thread.... or start a new one... im suprised the moderators havent moved it there already.... im in a rush to get to class, but im gona take another look at it wen i get a chance... but in the mean time post up in the audio section.... your new at this so... go to the forums tab at the top of the page and click tech area and you should the audio section.... Good luck bro
