Attn: People with front plates

I just picked up an 03 IP yesterday and it has a front plate bracket on it. The screws that were holding the plate on were too long and some schmuck tightened them all the way down, putting them into the paint. I want the bracket off since I don't need a front plate, but the cover for the hole in the center of the bumper is gone as well. Would anyone with an IP coupe in a state required to have front plates be willing to part with their cover for a small fee? I want to enjoy the car for a while before I have to worry about taking it in for paint and another cover piece.

I doubt anyone is willing to depart the piece even if they don't need it because it doesn't make the bumper complete. Secondly you need to google the part. You can buy it for $8.41, which is probably lower that what we would depart it for. http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...11&catalogid=2

$8.41 plus paint, then I'd just get the whole thing repainted. Apparently the part about hoping to avoid going to the body shop a week after getting the car so I could enjoy it for a little while was deleted from my original post. Wait, I just checked, its still there.

Thanks for answering for everyone, though.

Because it's such a small and really an unnoticeable part when looking at the bumper overall, I'd go to Home Depot or somewhere and find the spray can. Costs you nomore $7 for a decent spray plus a can of overcoat.

You think people who don't need it won't part with it because it would make their bumper "incomplete" and then you say I should just rattle can it because its such a small part? Are you bi-polar?

check to see if the plate is in your trunk in the spare tire well. That's where I found mine. Apparently the dealers put them in there when they mount the front plate.

Is there anything in any of my posts that relates to money?

I had to go back and check AGAIN to see if the part about wanting to avoid having to take the car in for paint was deleted. It wasn't. Is it possible you just missed it AGAIN?

Thanks for the suggestion. I looked in the trunk since the floor mats were in there, but didn't root around behind the panels.

I'm not really sure what this has to do with me wanting the cover piece since I'm not required to have one... but thanks?
