From what you've said, it sounds like you have an automatic. The G35 doesn't have enough torque at low rpms to initiate spinning every time. Especially when you are holding pressure on the brake which creates addition rear wheel friction (because of rear brakes) for the engine to overcome. Traction has a lot to do with it, as in, try to find a very smooth surface and if it rains, that an even better time to practice. Otherwise you're risking a lot if you don't know what you're doing. (No meanness intended)

are u serious? rain needed to do a burnout in a G?
obviously no one has told you that when u press both the brake and gas pedal at the same time. the ecu cuts the power. to get around this, you have to pull the brake fuse. someone also sells a switch, so you don't have to pull the fuse everytime a burnout is wanted...

Yeah I don't know what you would want to, I've done break torque a few times, and it just seems like a good way to take off.
JDM doesn't burnout...
Work on your powerslides/corner drifting if you want to wreck your tires...
Nothing impresses your friends like slidding threw empty corners (or traffic if you have a huge life insurence policy)
