Damn, that sucks about your accident? Did the other driver actually hit your car and take off?

NO!!! Do not say you swerved and hit a pole. They will rule you at fault. You must say that he clipped you or something. If you swerve and crash its all on you. This happened with my deer totalling fiasco. Luckily I fought it and won. Draw diagrams and get a police report ASAP. Work with your agent on this. But if you say you swerved and crashed they will say its all on you. The other motorist had to have hit you.

This ploy may not work. The police were not notified previously and the actual damage may not show that a collision between 2 cars may have taken place. Proceed cautiously . . . You don't need an insurance fraud action.

I agree, you should have hit him.

I think it is going to be hard for you to prove that there was a guy running red light ... The outcome also looks like you were drunk, you hit the pole, you did not want to call police right after the accident cause you were drunk, and now you invented a "guy running red" ... Tough luck dude ... Next time just hit the sucker!

That sux.

I can live with totaling the car , but this kind of damages kill me the most.

I got 05 same color sport package and all that. couple of days ago I was driving down the road (speeding a lil) passing by the school they had some construction going on and I hit a cone, It was right in the middle of the road, I did not see it until it was too late (I got bad vision, work with computers allot) so I hit this cone it goes under and popped out of the back, I pull over and check out what happened, Front bumper has two cracks, the plug for tow hook fell out and it's all scratched up. Maaaaaaaaaaan I was so mad, Went out and got my self some glasses next day.

By the way. Now that I’m looking for new front bumper I wanted to go with something else then stock. But I want to keep it as close as possible to clean look (nothing too crazy on the front) I was going to put lip on it but it will not cover any of the scratches and cracks. So any advises for a front bumper cover?

Is this stock? http://photobucket.com/albums/y42/Bl...nt=g35ch12.jpg
Does not look like it. I like it dough.

I'm not promoting insurance fraud. I'm just speaking from experience when I totalled my car. If you're at fault its better in the long run to not even file a claim. Once you file your rates are going SKY high. They will pay out but will get all the money back one way or another. If you do file make diagrams of what happened. Write a ton of details about the street and how things are set up.
