So the dealer is going to check out the 1st->2nd gear shift notchiness

Told them that when i shifted, the car would slightly bog unless i released the clutch really slowly, and it still did it sometimes. I was saying it may be driver error, but they said that it may be the transmission.

Who else has this problem?

it really sucks when you have your girl next to you and can hear her coat shaking because it seems like you're bogging all the time

Appointment is tommorrow at 1pm for oil change as well. The only problem is it's supposed to snow , so i may have to cancel

Maybe she shouldn't be wearing a coat made out of metal....Any kind of fabric wouldn't create that "shaking" noise

I have the same exact problem. Last time I had the dealer looked at it the said that the transmission fluid was a little dirty and they changed it for me. The shifting from the point on was smooth again, only it didn't stay like that for long.

I'm getting my tranny fluid changed tomorrow so I can't wait to see if this makes a difference. Mine notchiness isn't that bad but I wish it was smoother.

same problem

Taking mine in tomorrow for 15k service. I will mention the same symtoms notchy and jerks. Also some damn chattering that happens in 1st to 2nd gear from taking off. And a delay in the clutch engaging when on a hill. I hope it's not gonna be bad.

I think its more the VDS than anything... that damn thing is so sensitive.. you cant even get on it withouth the computer pulling all the timing.. forget bout a quick 1 2 shift.. i ALLWAYS turn mine off.. (unless pouring rain) first car i have owned with this computer traction control crap and I dont like it.

well, the tech can't recreate it at all.

they told me it may be when it's cold, so next time i come in, leave it over night and they'll test it in the morning. :/

Attributing the notchiness to the transmission fluid is odd. My new 06 has the same symptoms with 500 miles on it. I am not thinking my fluid is dirty.

I will be interested to hear what becomes of this.
