I just had the same lights come on. Apparently there's a bunch of things that can make those lights come on. Unless your brake light has come on as well, it's probably not a brake issue. One guy on our local club found out it was his MAF sensor. Today I took my car to get it diagnosed, and the culprit ended up being the crank sensor. Try to find a place that'll do a diagnostics and give you a code to figure it out. I found a place that does it for $20.
Good luck!
Good luck!
VDC/Slip Failsafe Mode
I have a 2007 G35 6MT and have the same problem with the "slip" light coming on, then the VDC light. However, when this happens the car is not driveable...it lurches forward and will stall out if the revs aren't kept at 2000. I've been towed to the dealer twice at night....by the time they look at it in the AM, the car runs fine.
Any suggestions....thanks.

even if it "runs fine" they should still have an error code from the ECU to read from. based on that, they should be able to work on the problem. if you take it in again, or even if you don't, ask them what code it's throwing and ask them what they've done to fix it. assuming they haven't already.

thats most likely it
or did you do any donuts like rob40wilson03 said?
the drive by wire (electric throttle body) can cause this, but it generally throws a check engine light as well. Brake fluid being low will cause these lights (generally caused by your brake pads being worn causing more fluid to move from the reservoir to the lines) and finally, the abs motor giving up can cause these lights.
