Well, Im fairly new to the G35Driver community, so let me first introduce myself, my name is Eric, and as my sn states Im located in Northern Va. Well two weeks ago, I was lucky enough to get a new DG Coupe 6MT, so naturally I caught a bad case of the mod-bug. Before I knew it I had ordered the Borla exhaust, Injen intake, and GG grounding kit. Being as all the parts are bolt-ons I decided to install all the parts myself. Long story short, I finished installing all the parts and was lowering the car off the jack stands using my hydrolic lift, when I hear a loud crunching noise. I look to see where its coming from, and to my disbelief I see that I had not cleared the jack stand far enough away from the side skirts. After lifting the car back up and pulling the jack stand out of the side skirt, I see the damage that was done. I now have a 2" x 2" hole in the passenger side skirt of my 2 week old baby. Now my question is this, should I find a slightly used side skirt online or just save up for the Impul kit that Ive been drooling over? Also, how much do you think the used side skirt would cost? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

 

If you're talking about the body-colored plastic door sill/rocker panel that runs from the rear of the front wheel opening to the front of the rear wheel opening, that's $220.

My dealer just had to replace mine after they gouged it while repairing my car. I wasn't too happy, but they did a good job, so I'm OK wih them for now..
