Gas lid problem! Help me please

Gas lid problem! Help me please

my lid won't open so i can't put gas in my car. The manual says to put the key in turn it to the rear of the car then press unlock. it still won't open. NO matter how many times i press down on it it still won't budge. Anyone have any suggestions

1. are all of your doors unlocked? it won't pop open unless it's unlocked.

2. if need be there is a release in the truck...but you have to pull open the trunk liner.....

it still won't open and whats another alternative method without pulling my trunk liner

You hit the unlock button for the doors and then went around and pushed on the left side of the fuel door????? It doesn't open????? That's how I do it and the rest of us.

nope still does not work. I've pretty much given up. I'm going to take it to the dealership.

the solenoid is frozen. Mine froze too.

unsnap the trunk liner and reach in and pull the plunger. then unplug it until you get a chance to visit the dealer. Its easy to reach, you cant mistake it. Its actually easy to remove alltogether, but let the dealer do their thing. I had no trouble with a replacement. Its a REALLY CHEAP soleniod

see the notch? you'll feel it, just pull it.

btw, you dont have to remove the trunk liner, just a few snaps and you can reach in without removing it.
