Failed 1st Inspection ;/

Failed my inspection today at Pep Boys, apparently my front brakes were shot and passing the sensor. Quick question, is there some brake light or anything that comes on to tell us the brakes are shot, or do they just check it on routine checks at the dealer, 19k miles so far..

brakes usually have a little metal bar that scrapes against the disc making a high pitch screaching noise that indicates to the driver that the pads are going.

Its a confusing with the 03-04 G's, cuz i'm guessing the early model G's had issues, at least mine did w/ sqeaking all the damn time for brake dust buildup. The stealership finally used an updated pad and rotor for my 04 coupe and the problem is gone. Non-brembo btw.

I've read that the squeaks are a commonplace in earlier models. I'm not much of a car guy, so I would never know.

Not directed at you, but why do some people get so upset?, a stupid question to you may be not so stupid to someone else.

Yeah, i've read this on a few other threads. Unfort, I had to get my stuff done ASAP, and setting an appointment with a dealership 20 miles away wasnt an option.

30k service i'll let them know what you told me, thanks.
