Dynomomometemer

Got the car dynoed at South Georgia Corvette on Saturday. Put down 225 rwhp / 224 rwtq. 03 G35 auto, 4th gear pulls from about 2800 - 6500 RPMs. Bone stock. A/F showed to be a little rich in the higher RPMs, nothing unexpected from a stock tune. Curves were fairly smooth for both hp and tq. Took a lot longer to spin those drums than the Mustang did.

I don't know too much about these cars, but I'm big on getting fast with low power numbers as you may be able to tell from the last car. I've been trying to find some info on converters and such.

^+1

I thought it was someone trying to demonstrate how their car sounded again.

Last year I spent a lot of time on the dyno, so I actually created an away message for my AIM that said "Dynomomometemer", I don't know how it happened, may have been an early morning. I kept it.

School me on higher stalls for these cars. I've searched and searched and all I find is posts from people saying to get converters, but they never say anything about what's available or where to get it. Too many uninformed people posting too much nonsensical dribble to wade through. I want real tech.
Word from some local import guys is that these rear ends are about as indestructable as stock rear ends get. I want to set up the suspension and get some sticky tires to get the car as quick as I can with no power mods to speak of.

Yes, SGC uses a Dynojet. There's only one dyno closer than this one, its a Mustang Dyno and they charge $100 for a three pulls as their introductory "special" price. They've told one person that they've only used it once, tell another they've been trained by MD on how to calibrate and use everything correctly, and they've told another guy that they've blown up a couple cars on it already. I certainly wouldn't trust the local guy for tuning, and South Georgia Vette specializes in, well, Corvettes. ...and Vipers. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
