I wanna hook my car up nice..got about 6g to spend. I have a fully loaded black coupe. I wanna make it the hottest car on the road.
so far i am plannin to get a body kit, rims, Neon lights, and some sound equipment..
any ideas?

 

Won't be long now until NISMO comes out with their line of speed equipment. Would be nice to have factory backing of any equipment you put on.

Yes, sell your car and buy a Honda Civic and stick Neon lights on it. If I see a G35 with neon lights on it I think I'm going to puke and ask the local authorities to pull that car over and bitch-slap its owner as well as cite them for whatever laws they are probably breaking.

Take the $6K and invest it in a bank CD (not a music one) until you can figure out something productive to do with the money as opposed to throwing it away adding fuzzy dice, giant wings and neon lights to a G35, that is unless your sole goal in life is to get your car pictured on "Riceboy" Dot Com!

 

damn...that was harsh. while im not goin to that extreme.... there is some validity in what the man is saying. Keep it tasetful if your doing asthetics until some real performance parts come out. Until then just get a nice tint job and some nice "TASTEFUL " rims...like Racing harts or real Volk's... no Tenzo's or Konigs's

Actually I do already have a G35 coupe... see www.smiley.net/g35/ and it isn't going to be loaded up with neon lights, washer lights, double bladed winshield wipers, Type R stickers or any of that Riceboy crap. Of course you are free to load your car up with that junk, and I and 99% of the rest of the drivers on the road will laugh our asses off at you whenever we see you. Don't forget the 36" laundry drying rack wing either, chopping at least 2 revolutions off your factory springs and slapping on 21" wheels ought to round it out... well after the chinese language stickers on the door and a faux carbon fiber hood... I should get out photoshop and mock this up so we can all bask in the glory that is "Riceboy"...

Tasteful body kit and rims are fine, especially if you are going for the JDM look, but Neon lights are just plain eeeewwwww for a car like the G35.

It's funny,

You say that it is a free country and he's free to put that crap on his car, but in the same breath you condemn me for speaking out against that stuff, last time I checked it was STILL a free country where FREE SPEECH is gauranteed in the constitution.

I didn't light into him until my second response after he told me I couldn't talk until I owned a G35, well I do own one so that gives me the right to talk right? or was that the constitution again? Outspoken? Perhaps.... Trying to help the guy from throwing away $6K+ on things people will laugh at him about.... Certainly!

If people just turn their backs and laugh at him behind his back, then he's out the 6K, I'm actually trying to do him a favor by being a bit more upfront about it and trying to strongly encourage him to rethink his decision to make his car the hottest car on the planet, if that were even possible.

There's nothing arrogant about what I said, it is MY opinion in a FREE country and someday he may look back on what he did with his neon lights and say "Gee I wish I had that $6K to get my fiance a ring, or put my kid through college" etc. etc.

As a day trader you should recognize a bad investment when you see one, and neon lights on a G35 is a bad investment. We can either snicker behind his back, or we can be up front and say "Hey Dude, Don't Do That!!!"

I think we're all basically friends here right? At least in a cyber kind of way. Some relationships are closer, what with regional meets and the like but I consider all participants as 'BROS'..... So lets stay that way please. Without arguing and insulting. Although we have a common thread (our cars) and enjoy sharing our thoughts, these are varied thoughts so what seems 'cool' to one may not be to another.
Let's try to be a little more flexible and accepting, please.
