3rd brake light

Need some input concerning the installation of spoiler on my new 06 Lake shore slate coupe. Should I have the dealer leave both spoiler mounted and rear deck 3rd brake lights connected? or just spoiler/just rear deck? Thanks for the input.

In the majority of rear spoiler installs, the dealer usually disconnect the 3rd brake light. I actually removed mine all together. Enjoy your new spoiler.

Do you mean disconnect the rear deck brake light? Or the spoiler brake light. Sorry, this might seem kinda trivial, but I'm not really sure which way to go and I don't want to try to change it later. Thanks!

Yes, disconnect the rear shelf 3rd brake light. The spoiler lights look really sharp.

I removed the rear deck brake light and recovered the deck.

How did you recover it? Did you have to get a new rear shelf?

Just bought some black carpet from the auto upholstery shop and used spray 3M spray adhesive. Looks nice and clean since I ditched my rear Bose speakers.
