I'm sorry, but this is difficult to read without complete sentences starting with capital letters or proper spelling. I'm curious as to what speed you raced to and at what point was a 2 car length difference.

it was good for cars some time ago, when 0-60mph times of 8+ seconds were the norm. today, with cars powerful or advanced enough to do sub 5 and sub 4 second times, things like gearing and tires become major factors. the problem is, you cant tell by looking at the 0-60mph time what it is. so if you come across a car on the road that has a 0-60mph of 4 seconds, and yours is 5 seconds, you might think you'd lose on a rolling race... where in reality you may not.
the 1/4 mi measurement, which records the time it takes to cover 1320 ft and the speed at the end of it gives a more complete measure of performance. 1/4mi measurements give more also. on your 'timeslip' you will also see the time it took you to get to 60 feet, 1/8mi, speed at 1/8mi, and more.
take the evo8 and 350z for instance. if you look at their 0-60mph times, it would appear that the z is not in the same league in terms of acceleration. that would be misleading, as the evo8 can get going quickly due to AWD. if you look at the 1/4mi times and ETs, you will see a different story. the evo can do mid 13s on the 1/4 mi, so you can tell it gets to the finish line quickly. but when its there its usually doing just under 100mph whereas the Z is doing just over 100mph. so as far as top end goes, the evo isnt as fast as the Z (stock). this is also reflected in the 60ft time on the timeslip, which is going to be significantly lower with the evo. the timeslip is also useful for figuring out how to improve your times. if you have an abnormally high 60' time for instance, you can tell that you can lower your ET.
some cars like the new vette are geared and have tires to do 0-60mph in 1st gear outright. dont get me wrong the new vette is insanely fast, but you cant appreciate it with that one statistic, especially considering how the manufacturer tuned the car. the full data, 1320' in low 12s at almost 125mph is more indicative. a car like an evo could be modded to get there first, but in terms of raw power and top end.. it wont be close.
Also, it would take a near professional to be able to reproduce those times to the less than 0.1 seconds consistently. but even if you could reproduce those times, there's no real way to measure them yourself. products like g-tech and other inertial measurement units are nice, but not 100% accurate. 1/4 data on the other hand, is relatively easier to get- just go down to the track and do some runs. if you want to see if your car is faster than stock, you can do so without racing a stock car.

The G35 times in the 0/60 and 1/4 are very mediocre. C&D tested an '05 6 sp G35 coupe last October and came up 5.9/14.6. Not to burst any bubbles but those times aren't fast. Hell, those times are just a tad faster than the Nissan Maxima with an auto tranny, and over a half sec slower than a $25K Mustang GT. There are lots and lots of cars, even luxury cars, that are much faster than a G. I bet even the nearly 5K lb Lexus LS 430 would give the G a good run in the 1/4.

Just fkn with ya, but seriously throw us a "." or a "," every now and then, it's so much easier on the eyes! I know you got a few jabs after your post, but don't worry - there are several clowns on the boards who have you beat by a mile.
