I have black and love it. It looks so good when clean. Yes, its tough to keep clean, but I actually enjoy detailing cars, and this is my second black one in a row. Are you dead set on black interior? Have you seen the stone up close? I have it and couldn't be happier. It has the black steering wheel and dash, but gray leather seats and floor mats. Its a nice change. I think black on black is a bit much, but just my personal opinion. Either way, I say get whatever color you want, and don't worry about what anyone else has.

Here's some pics of the stone interior. (Yes, I know you didn't ask for it, look at it anyway )

I have owned a black sedan and a vert. They were absolutely stunning when cleaned and kept up properly. After a while, it becomes very cumbersome . . . I got tired of constantly attempting to keep them clean.

Thanks for posting up the pics Meeno. Stone is nice, definitely better than willow/beige....but black interior is just damn sexy, can't bend on that.

I really want black, but to be honest I just don't have the time to spend keeping it clean.

I think Liquid Platinum is taking the lead.

IMO, the most common color of all cars is either silver or white. DIAMOND GRAPHITE.........looks great and easy to maintain

When I first got my 03' black, this color wasn't even an option on my list of colors. However after a 3 month wait it was the only color with all the options I wanted so I took it. When I picked it up at the dealer, no other color in the lot could beat it, it was beautiful. A month later I was kickin myself in the ***. The black looks like sh*t unless your waxing it everytime you wash in my opinion. This has been my personal experience and as soon as it done with the wash, its dust galore. Then you have your water stains and all other kinds of crap to deal with. Its just a heartbreaker that wins you over everytime its freshly detailed or waxed. With all of this in mind when I went to get my 05, I still considered black and tried to con myself into believing I would do it different and make it look better. Thank God I stopped myself and got the DG. DG is easy to maintain, always looks good even when dirty and sparkles like crazy under different shades of light if you take care of it. Now with the 06' colors if I had to do it, I m in love with the Liquid Platinum. That color has such a wet look to it and its like a ivory pearl silver mix. Beautiful in my eyes but on the coupe only. On the sedan its not too impressive. Anyhow good luck with your choice.

Every day of my life I regret getting DG instead of black. But when I think about how much of a pain in the ballz it was to keep clean I start to feel better, however their will always be a special place in my heart for black with black volks, pref gt-7 and gt-v.

I wouldn't personally go DG, its played out (yep i got one). I would say get white, not to played and the G looks great in it! If your up to the challenge Black > everything else. I envy down_shift everytime I see his G in person.

I get the same feelings. The problem is that I keep seeing ridiculously clean and waxed black G's on the forums and they look insane, not how the car would generally look in real life if I owned it. It just takes seeing a few dirty black cars with swirl marks on the street to convince myself that I just couldn't handle the upkeep.

I saw some '06 coupes in LP at the dealer and it's a pretty cool color (very very light).

black on black...sucks to have to detail it every week, but driving it at night makes it worth while.

You are correct, Lakeshore Slate doesn't come with black interior. If you want to stay away from black, I'd say LP or reconsider Athens. Trust me, I went from an Athens blue G to a silver/gray M3 and while silver is an amazing color and easy to keep clean, I miss my blue badly and always stare when I see one.

When you hit the key FOB at night and the wheat interior lights up, it looks awsume. Try it, you'll like it.
