'06 Coupe, What Color To Choose?

Gonna be trading in the sedan for the coupe in a month or two...

Black Interior is a must, but as far as exterior I'm between a couple of colors and could use anyone's input. The car will remain stock except for tints, and it will have the upgraded 19 inch sports package rims. Here's the following in no particular order...

Black= Classic and beautiful color, main draw back is the upkeep.

Liquid Platinum= Another classy color, but silver is kind of boring..but still nice.

Diamond Graphite= Beautiful color, however, everyone and their mother has 1 in L.A.

Lakeshore Slate= Kind of like Carribbean Blue, but all grown up. I really dig this color, seems to be much classier than the brighter blues but still definitely unique. But it could still be too radical of a color, I am not sure.

So what would you guys pick out of those 4 colors? ..and no I definitely won't be even considering IP for one second because you can't get black interior...

I'd go Black or DG. I chose DG for the upkeep.

Black- you'll regret it if you don't get it; you'll regret it if you do. Luv and hate.

Black you'll regret for the rest of the time you have the car.
Looks nicer when it's someone elses IMO
Go Lakeshore or IP

Go with your first instinct. I went through the same thing when I was choosing the color. At first I wanted DG but thought it was too common. Then I wanted black, then red, then lakeshore, but in the end I went with DG. Once you get the car, you really don't think about the colors that much. Each has it's own pluses and minuses, so just get the one that you originally wanted.

And to help you out...

I guess that plan scraps your wheel hunting. I'd go for black if I wasn't gonna mod the car. I think the '06 lip and rear spoiler look their best in black. But like everyone says, keeping it clean is a b!atch!!! You have to baby the paint from day one if you don't want any scratches. Good luck bro.

IP -> DG -> BO in order.
you are right, BO is hard to keep it clean and rock chips, etc.
i have DG right now but if i get a chance to pick a 2nd G coupe, i'd get IP w/o doubt

dude, you're right on the money with that!!!

i bought black cuz it looked so damn SEXY @ the dealership. but i REGRET it soooo bad! one of the reasons cuz of the upkeep.

i wouldn't have a problem with black if i was a professional detailer, but im not. and I've never taken the car to any car wash. washed my G wish micro fiber towels, been careful when cleaning it, but i STILL get swirl marks from i dunno how the ****... lol

if i could go back id choose DG... but DG is the darker silver correct?

Yea, I was planning to throw a body kit, rims, projector lights, navigation, etc.. on my current ride.

But then I figured I might as well just put that money towards a brand spanking new, fully loaded coupe...that is already equipped with all those things stock, not to mention the updated interior. Plus, I'm sick of my automatic granny tranny, I need a 6mt.

But I think I really like the Lakeshore Slate, I guess I'm a sucker for blue.

Definlty Diamond Graphite or Platinum.
I just ordered my Coupe in Graphite/Graphite combo.
Don't get me wrong...i LOVE Black cars. But like this one dealer said. Black is a great showroom color for cars. But in the 'REAL WORLD" there are automatic Carwash scracthes, dust, door bumps, shopping carts, bird dropping and many more....all of which amplies 100 times on black as opposed to other lighter shades.
I am "Mr Monk" when it comes to keeping cars clean. I would be having serious OCD if i had bought a black car
I cant wait to get my new Graphite baby.

I wish I had IP too. If I had to do it all over again I would get IP...DG is a great color but WAY too common, especially in So Cal.
