Driving Harsh

Well I know this isn't good but I feel the need to drive "rough" I would say. I like to cut turns at high speeds and such. And im pretty sure you guys do to. But I also tend to use the brakes alot. Like I will accelerate until I have to brake. I have about 6200 miles on the car and now there is something wrong with it. When I apply the brakes abruptly I get a message on the navagation system saying Low Brake Fluid and VDC and it gives me road side assitants number and the local dealerships. The brake sign, the SLIP sign and the VDC OFFsign all light up on the dash. I have setup and appointment with my service center, but when I asked them over the phone they said they didn't know what it was or what it meant. I hope I didn't really mess up my car. I did't do anything that casued it. Meaning like I didn't brake from 120 mph to 0 or anything just like 80 to 60 nothing to harsh. The service person I spoke to told me maybe I need new brakes? Or just Brake Fluid? I don't know hope it's nothing big. Car still drives great except VDC will turn off every now and then.

Re: Driving Harsh

yep - exact same thing happened on my g. dont worry its nothing to do with you - i took mine in and they told me it was a problem with the wiring or something. They actually had to order a part for it and i was without the g for 3 days but i had the sedan substitute though so it wasnt too bad.

Re: Driving Harsh

Thanks Englishguy, makes me feel alot better! 3 days huh. Well I am only 18 so they will not give me a loaner. I think you have to be 21 in order to recieve a loaner. Maybe they will let me take home the G and bring it back when they have the part. Thanks Again!

tell them that your pops is gonna drive the rental, let him pull out of the dealership in it and then its yours for the 3 days. Thats what I do, at least.

Life is to short to argue on the Internet!

Did you check the brake fluid level?

Re: Driving Harsh

If you have Brembo's, they are meant to be used. But beware that there is a cost for this. Nothing worth while comes cheap and if you walk on these brakes a lot, be prepared to pay a lot!
