350GT-8 8 Speed CVT-M8 A/T Transmission

I just want to share with you guys about new transmission in Japanese market of Nissan Skyline 350GT sedan. There's a new lineup called 350GT-8, it comes with 8speed A/T transmission called CVT-M8. This trasmission comes with a shifter behind the steering wheel. ufortunately, this transmission only comes in sedan. I wonder why Infiniti didn't comes with this transmission. I think, as a luxurious line of Nissan they should have this kind of transmission and I wonder what do you guys think about this transmission ??

YEah already seen this one. It's been available on the Skyline coupe for at least a year in japan from what I'm aware of. It is a CVT and 8 speeds as well. The coolest thing I love about it is that in manual mode there are paddle shifters on the stearing wheel similiar to the M3's. Dope!! I wish they had brought it here... CVTs can be awesome...performance of a manual, ease of an auto, and better fuel economy than both. Only problem I saw having driven an A4 CVT is that the sound of the engine sucks...like it was sick and dying. It kept it the RPMs constantly in the power band even when flooring it and the tach needle didn't increase, it just kind of stayed between 4 and 6000 RPM.

Is this CVT the same one in the Murano or is it different and better? From a reveiw I saw of the Murano awd with cvt it worked really well and kept rpms up for a good amount of time.
