The only other thing you may think about is the coolant flush.

Don’t forget to lube the antenna, it might void your warranty if you don’t.

The most important item that all of you have failed to mention is that the muffler belt needs changing at this interval or most definately your warranty will be voided!!!

Those maintenance lists vary on the dealer and your area. My dealer told me that they only did air filter, cabin air, oil, and misc inspections. He said the tranny\coolant flush is a "total waste of money." He also had a very official looking list.

That list says to replace radiator cap. Does that wear out?

Check out THIS TSB regarding the radiator cap. It shows a worn out cap that needs replacing.

It would seem to me that if the cap was worn out as shown it should be replaced under warranty but who knows?

Thumbs down

They charge an arm and a leg for basically just checking things

Well I brought my car in to have its 30K mile service.

The items they recommended and I agreed to were:

Replace Engine Oil/Filter
Replace manual transmission oil
Perform throttle body induction service

As stated before they suggested 60K for the coolant and differential oil replacement.

Total cost for me was $282.58.

While they had it I also had some warranty items taken care of.
Replaced the rear view mirror because it rattled like crazy
Replaced seat frame assembly because the seat felt somewhat loose
Replaced fuel shutter valve assembly because sometimes filling with gas was a PITA
Replaced both headlamp assemblies due to a crack on the inside seperator piece

I still have to bring the car back in so they can replace part of the leather that seperated near the seat lever. They are going to fix it but are waiting on parts.

All in all it was not a bad 30K mile service

I actually requested that and my service advisor said it doesn't need it until 60,000 miles. So, I only did Tranny flush and rear differential. All the other stuff like air cabin filter, oil change, rotate tires, etc.... you can do yourself.

Why do you need a tranny flush for 6MT? I thought with manuals, all that's needed is a drain and fill. Flush only needed with automatics because of fluid stuck in torque converters (i thought)?
