Im on the same boat as far as pimping the car out. The highly skilled and HIGHLY paid and Highly Educated engineers did a lot of work to get the design right. I don’t think some fool, with a few extra $'s could really improve the look to where it stands out even more. I have the 18-inch rims and I am very satisfied with them however I have seen some great aftermarket ones as well as some GOD awful ones.

Btrain,
You crack me up man. We live in a free market society, I believe either in America or Canada. You drop thousands of dollars for the down payment and borrow from a financial institute to finance the rest, just so you can drive this car. If you could afford to pay cash, you wouldn't be driving this car. My point is that this is YOUR CAR, to do what YOU WANT to do with it, and hopefully for your sake it turns out looking ok.
1) You don't know if the engineers are highly skilled because you never met one.
2) You don't know if they are highly paid because you never met one.
3) You know know if they are highly educated because you never met one.
4) You don't know what the engineers drive themselves because you have never met one. They could drive a rice car themselves, but you don't know that because you have once again.....have never met one.
5) You will probably never ever meet one in your lifetime.
If everyone thought like you, then every person on the earth should drive the same exact car in the same color with the same "satisfying" 18 inch wheels. We should all dress exactly the same and do our hair exactly the same also. I am asian, so I guess I would have to dye my hair and get colored contacts just so I can CONFORM to your society, since this would seem to please you. Kinda sounds like the Hitler days huh. This is just my opinion as well.

Re: Muscle Car or Rice Burner
rice boy isn't racist. it's just a car term. it's fine to use, it's part of our everyday culture pretty much, heh.

Re: Muscle Car or Rice Burner
yea, i agree. a rice burner might seem "racist".. but i've got a few asians who dub their cars "rice burners". So, there is definitely a double standard there. It has become a "car term", just like how people say "white trash" when looking at a trailer. There's nothing racist about it, although it does sound racist.. Its more of a name in which we classify a certain level of cars.

Re: Muscle Car or Rice Burner
I think it really depends on the persons point of view on whether it's racist or not. Some ppl take offence to it others don't. But in the case of those asians who call their own cars rice burners....african americans call themselves and each other a word starting with "nig" now I dare anyone who isn't one to go up and call them that.

Re: Muscle Car or Rice Burner
I am Asian and I have no problem whatsover about the term "rice burner". At least they are showing enthusiasm for their car, showing some pride and most importantly having fun with it. The problem I have is with the lame people who think that every coupe should be exactly the same, so when you pull up to one at a light, they high five each other and say great car man when they are both exactly the freaking same. That is truly lame.....

Re: Muscle Car or Rice Burner
Hey I'm asian too and I couldn't care less....I'm not arguing one side or the other just saying that "perception" is often more important than reality. and in terms of mods on cars...my opinion is don't spend a dime on the outside till you've spent at least 2 grand on the inside (where it actually makes a difference). With cars beauty is NOT only skin deep.
Like that comment someone made a while ago about "some kids thinking you added 5hp for every sticker on the car" This is a nice car and like a good Hugo Boss suit doesn't need anything flashy because the quality is there. "riced" up civics is basically like deisel clothing....cost a lot, looks nuts, not very much quality.

Re: Muscle Car or Rice Burner
Ed,
Trust me, I'm NOT sticking any stupid stickers on my car, putting any gigantic exhaust on my car, or putting a freaking fire extinguisher inside...... it just the kids have the right to if they want to because I believe if you shell out 35K for a car, you can do whatever the heck you want to it..... plain and simple....

Re: Muscle Car or Rice Burner
KKH, I have looked over most of the coupes here and I have say you have done a great job with yours, nicest rims i've seen, good color(white) choice too... wouldnt say its a rice burner.....I think this car gets too good of gas mileage and handles too well to be a muscle car tho. if it had 400 HP maybe....
91' purple mustang - muscle car
94 civic coupe - rice burner
03' G35c somewhere in between (close to rice burner tho!)
