What's that on the drivers' door? Powder or did they ufck that up too?

You people should really invest in the DEI 504M shock sensor. It works so beautifully.

it's actually a reflection of the sun hitting the leaves on the side.

How long does our cars anti-theft system beep the horn for before it resets?

I know most aftermarket alarms are generally set to go off for 1-2 minutes before resetting, but since our cars aren't actually set up with a real ALARM.. I'm a bit curious as to how long it stays on for. I can't imagine that Infiniti would design it to run infinitely until the battery was dead... although, after seeing how poorly they designed our oil dipstick and the under-engine cover/diffuser, I'm not going to take any of their potential engineering decisions for granted.

So does anyone know how long the cars horn beeps for with the OEM theft-deterrent system?

The stock alarm is a joke, save yourself the trouble and get a real alarm with a tilt sensor. Locks are a must.

Sorry to hear about your wheels getting jacked. Take the insurance money and get some nice aftermarket ones.

I doubt they can read.

HAHA, but you know how it is. Cops will just say make a report, make a claim on your insurance and call it a day. Sucks. Sometimes I wish I can find these bastards whe keep vandelizing my cars. about 8 months ago my pioneer deck was stolen from my 2000 honda civic. A week later my 2 10w7's and 1000/1 jl amp were stolen from my 1998 Honda prelude before I sold it for the G coupe. I swear it's gotta be the same guys. all my neighbors had their car broken into also and one even got stolen completely.

Not a racist joke on my behalf(I'm not racist)... I'm just reiterating what he said in his comedy(which is not geared towards black people in general, just towards gangster-type black people). I just saw the clip the other day again on Wimp.com.

had mine go off because I locked my keys inside the car... it was about 1 minute or a little more.

OK Sweet.

Here's a link to a cheap place to buy the shock-sensor unit if anyone is interested. Thanks to UhohNumber2 from 6MT.net for referring this link to me.

And the install procedure:

We need a James Bond security system like in Tomorrow Never Dies on that Bimmer.

Either that or one of those inpenetrable outer shells like that Dodge Viper had in that show "Viper".
