I like to drive with my windows half way down and now that it's a little cooler out I have been. Only problem is there is a distincict rattle/clanking noise comming from both windows whenever I accelerate or hit a slight bump. Has anyone else had this problem? If so what did you do to have it fixed?

 

i feel your pain. my coupe is @ the shop right now getting both windows looked at. my passenger side window makes an anoying noise while it is up. my driver side widow has the greese problem and it sounds real gritty when rolled up and down. i already had the accumalator and motor replaced. ahh the wonderfull life of owning a 1st year production, but i still love it!

 

I brought mine in for the grease streak out of cosmetic reasons (and to get a free car wash). My windows work like champs: they go up an down in a flash. They sound very solid and my friends joke that you could decapitate someone with their power...

antrock my windows have the same problem. what did the dealer tell you about it? are they goin to fix it for free? let me know how it went so can be prepared for when i take mine it to get fixed

He man my windows have always made that "clunk" noise when they are down and I hit a hard bump. The dealer said it was normal. Am I to assume it is not?

I'll tell you right now, that auto reverse feature isn't that forgiving. My friend decided to be a wiseass and stick his arm into it. Of course now the window makes a grinding noise but thats under warrenty so no big deal. He said it hurt though.

 

yes it is free (under warranty) i think us south florida coupe owners have more window problems because of the rain. water seeps into the door where the window meets the seal, yes it drains but i know that the accumilater and motor has to be getting wet. i will let you know how it turns out.

 

Hey I had the same problem with my coupe and the dealer replaced the regulator or something and now its fine. Take it in and let them look at it.

If it's the same noise that I get I wouldn't say it's normal. It's like an anoying clicking noise. As for the grinding when the window is being put up or down that is getting fixed and they have some regulator on order. But the clicking has got to go. Anyone know what I'm talking about??

 

Damn........Sorry for your troubles guys, and on a more selfish note......I hope they fixed some of these bugs...my '04 should be here by mid-november (just in time for SNOW!) UGH!!!!

 

so it sounds like are having problems with the regulartors. hopefully they will get this problem fixed so we dont have to keep goin back and complaining

i wish it was that easy! i am a little disapointed in the service @ my infiniti dealer. i picked up my car friday late evening (after the service dept was long closed). i open my drivers door and to my suprise the window went down maybe a millimeter. when i open the door it gets caught up un the frame and makes a nasty sound. the ironic thing is 4 month ago i brought my coupe in for the same problem and they had to replaced the accumilator and motor. looks like they will be doing it again. i just don't understand how they could leave my car like that and think i wouldn't notice. i got beter service from the ford service shop when i owned a ford!
