is $1700 too much

I am picking up my 06 coupe in two weeks. i have been quoted, roughly $1700 for the installation of Huper Optik tint-359, Venture Tape clear bra( bumper, fender, hood, mirrors)-652 and clifford rsx3.5 alarm install-700.oh the location is the dallas tx area. Is this too much?

my bad the clear bra and tint have a lifetime nationwide warranty.

I got 3M tint for $150+tax installed. Clear Bra price sounds fair. I don't know about the alarm.

i think that is too much because i got my windows tinted for 180 and then the owner of the shop said that if i got rims from him, he would do a 3M clear bra for free. i think i have a clifford 2.5(not sure) but i got that done for 500 cash.

i got 20% tints done for $90, lifetime warranty... that does sound kinda high, but for that much money, like luongdmd said, spend it on performance upgrades

Alarm should be closer to $500.

I think the people responding should think about there replies before just saying its too high. He actually states the type of material used and no one is taking that into account, only saying "my tint was costs....your quote is high."

Huper Optik is probably the best tint on the market for clarity, heat reflection, glare resistance. The tint price sounds fair.

The Clifford alarm goes for around 200 to 250, but the expensive part is the labor depending on what extras you are getting and how many sensors they are installing. The 700 could or could not be high dependant on that.

I do not know about the clear bra so I'll leave my .02 out.

Well yea............

This sounds like one of those dealership deals! Some
buyers would rather have these kinds of purchases
taken care of regardless of cost. Shop around don't
lean over!!

I got my 3.5 w/a start for $450 then I added extra sensors for outside
protection & remote windows for another $175- in NY. I was quoted for everything $700-

I think you can do better as I did.

I was quoted Huper Optik for high $400's. I would have done it for low 400's, but the installer wouldn't entertain a group discount, so I walked.
