Better Keyfob!

Got an 06 MT so no intelligent key... but for the love of god! Ive had better keyfobs from enterprise rental cars. 40k car with a remote like that? Atleast the intelligent key looks nice but what those of use that went manual deserve this??? lol. seriously though anyone changed their keyfob? Or upgraded their alarm and use a nicery keyfob now with the same (or more) functionality? pics would be nice of course

Here In Arkansas, theres only 1 Infiniti dealership in the whole state. Everything was limited as far as option and color on the lot and they wont do a trade with another dealer(Dallas was the closest) unless I pay a hefty shipping fee and sticker price. Also, I didnt want to travel outside my state as I didnt have time, barely had time to nego where i bought it. And the last thing I want is a used car not knowing what kind of abuse history was on it.
Yeah I regret not getting the sport package but the wheels was what I didnt like and that is why I didnt go out of my way to get it.

Its a friggin fob, who cares. It gets beat up anyway. Sooo minor. There are kids in Africa dying and you're worried about how a keyfob looks.

Say no more. My wife is from Pochantas. I went there once, and it was wild seeing how non industrialitzed it is...well certain areas right...

Hummm. Ok. True, there are kids dying everywhere around the world, but you bought an Infiniti right? Even if you donate tons of money or some response like that, you (just like us) own a Luxury car. Please don't bring that crap here. Nuf said.

Who cares, it's a key fob!!! I agree the I-Key fob looks better because it has some metal accents, but your key has metal accents too and a fancy chrome Infiniti logo. Just stare at your nice key everytime you get fob envy.

Why dont you just tear apart your fob and customize it. Then you have something that is unlike everything else that everyone else already has.

lol obviously it doesnt bother you so its no big deal. Whole point of the post was to see if there were better alternatives.. not to hear that you are fine with yours and think its not important. If you shelled out as much money as you did for the G and found that say shift **** was cheesy looking and looked like it was from a 15k car you could have something to say about it ... if you cared about that that is.. Anyways i just think if you are buying a premium product you expect everything in it to be premium... would i have still bought the car if i knew the keyfob was like this. of course! Can i complain about the quailty of one of its components? of course!! to each his own

you could learn some soldering skills.

I transplanted my old 02 accord v6's remote into the keyfob of the 03+ accord's that had the remote built into the key.

its not too difficult. you'd just be relocating the buttons with some wires
and mounting it in a different location.

make sure you get a spare remote to practice on though.
