black G nation- help
black G nation- help
I'm noticing my black G is starting to get alot of light white scratches on the car... I have no idea how they got there.
I know there is no real way to ever prevent them from coming because this is a daily driven car sometimes on bad roads and bad weather.
What do you guys do to fix it if you do... Do I need to take it to the detailers to have them work on it and if so what's going to work?... wet sand? I'm not even sure what that is but I think it makes sense that removes light scratches.
Any tips of preventive maintenence?

Scratch and swirl remover should do the job.
For years and years I busted my *** to wax my cars, only to get MEDIOCRE results! After getting the Zaino products and reading all of the tips on their website, it was obvious where my mistakes were.
Don't rub in circles. Mr Miagi (sp?) was a Karate master, not a detailer.
The biggest mistake I made was buyingthe bags of "100% cotton" detailing towels from autoparts stores, Wal-Mart, etc. BIG MISTAKE! These towels are made outside the USA and ARE NOT 100% cotton. Spend the money on nice bath towels that are 100% (USA) cotton and made-in-the-USA. Haven't had a single scratch and I use them for waxing and simply washing (instead of a sponge or microfiber towel). Got my towels at Bed, Bath & Beyond. Hit Zaino's site for all the tips.

My black G' hasnt taken that many hits with the scratches and that cuz I use preventive measures like GT-Ron was saying. Don't use any ole' towel to wash and dry your car. If you have already, what's done is done. All you can do now is learn from your mistakes. I still wouldn't recommend using 100% cotton on a black G'. Use microfiber towels. Don't buy them from Pep Boys or any of those stores cuz they rip you off. I bought a 6 pack of towels off ebay for less than $10. Take a look at this ebay auction for example. Zainos a good product to use but I've been using Turtle Wax and it does the job. I haven't tried Turtle Wax's "Color Cure" yet but it seems like it'll do the trick, covering up white scratches. Ebay auction for Color Cure. Good Luck!
1. MICROFIBER TOWELS (wafle for drying, plush for wax removal)
2. Optimum Car Poish followed by Optimum Car Wax.
3. Autotopia.com
Also, to make life easier and have fun after you wash try a Quick Detail ...... I use Adams's Detail Spray Finish Kare # 425
it even has an "Anti- Static" which REALLY works on my Black G. Get a gallon for only 28 Bucks. Spray on ,wipe off after every car wah (in my case) for that "wet look".
BTW, OCW works that easy, too. Spray and wipe, no swirls and deep shine. Read the Bio of inventor at Optimums website.
GOOGLE all the above. Hope this helps. Black cars ROCK!

When was the last time you clay it? If you haven't, go get a bar of Mother's. Wash the car first to make sure all dirt is off, then clay the car. Don't forget to wax it afterward. You should see the result as night and day.
Waxing alone won't cure your problem.
