I took the G to Lookout Mt. I'm in Denver, CO. Lookout is a mountain pass, lots of corners and tight 15-20 mph switchbacks.

Anyway, I'm coming down and this black VW GTI tails me. At the base of the mountain, we're at a light and I gun it. Another car is in front of me, so the GTI goes around me and gets on the freeway. I'm going the same way so I come up behind him, then right beside him. We're doing about 60. Then he punches it first and I go after him. By ~120, he's in my rear view several car lengths behind.

Why did this guy even bother? I don't know much about GTI's but I think stock, the most they have is 200hp. Maybe he had mods and thought he had a chance. Or he knew nothing about the wrath of the G (mine is stealth DG). Now he knows.

 

those golfs can be pretti fast.. if they're modded correctly, they can easily give us a run for our money.. but stock, we can still easily take them out.. but i have noticed that almost every one of those golf drivers think they're the [censored]..

 

Im pretty sure stock GTIs only have around 170 hp.

 

I hate those cars. They are so retarded looking.

its always fun to race though. back when i had my mustang i would take on anyone who wanted to race. even if i knew i would lose.

One of my friends has a 25th anniversary edition GTI 337. It is 180 stock but he has intake, exhaust, boost controller, and a custom 100 octane ecu program. Running on 93 I can take him but with 100 octane in that thing with the seats out and what not I know he runs 14 in the quarter. That would be a pretty close race. Of course he will smoke me pretty soon cause he got a bigger turbo and front mount intercooler. But on the bright side I can still leave all my seats in and have a warrenty.

G35 are tight, i wish i had one. i drive a VW (Jetta) and i really dont think VW drivers have big egos....some do some dont just like any other driver...depends on the person. stock for stock a G35 and a GTI cant even be compared. sorry to all the vdubbers that may read this but id rather have a G35. i probably woulda "raced" you too tho, just to see ur car in action O_o...i tried to do that to an STI but no go

 

I beat the hell outta a 2002 mustang GT convertible lastnight with his woman in the car, mine was in mine and she goes can your car beat a mustang???

I was like, we'll lets see !!

By the time I got to 3rd gear I could see two little specs which I assume were his headlights ...

seriously though, he was goin till about halfway through 3rd and gave up

Nice kill to bad it wasn't the hard top so you can show your stuff. What year was the mustang? 98 below or 99-00 or the ones with the new hood and lighter body?
