VDC off helps a lot fighting the understeer.

I took my 06 6mt out on some nice runs soon after I bought it and it was about what you'd expect....nothing spectacular, but not bad by any means. Its certainly no sports car.

depends on lots of things... how fast were you going on a canyon run? and which canyon? and are you familiar with the canyon =)

Not all oem coupe's have the same suspension, so that same canyon will not feel the same to all coupe owner's. My own experience between the two suspension's tells me that the 05/06 sport suspended car's( defined by having oem 19's) would be more capable and more rewarding in that canyon. Though that is not to say that some thoughtful choices in the aftermarket can't be made to raise the bar.

i have a '05 g35c 6mt... premium package, navi, and the optional 18" sport wheels... the car feels good in the canyons... when we organized that run on angeles crest a couple months ago i was the leader of a group going up the highway... i maintained 45-60 mph through 90 percent of the canyon... this was possible because of the suspension, the navi... and of course me...

i say the navi made parts of it possible because it provides a map of how the canyon runs... without it there would have been no way i would have had enough guts to do what i did...

always know the limits of your vehicle though... i would hate to see a person not respect their car and canyon and lose their life over going fast.. o VDC is a blessing by the way... DO NOT SWITCH IT OFF to get "the Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift" style action

god im going to hate the canyons after that movie comes out... sooo many kids are going to die because of it... idiots trying to drift the canyons... sigh....

05 6MT with 18 inch wheels???

Try vdc off one time and dont push it as hard and you will see how better the car turns in.
