How long did your original tires last?
How long did your original tires last?
So i'm about to buy tires for my Coupe now and I have 31K miles on it and still have my original Michelin Pilot sport tires on. I've talked to a bunch of people that say they have changed at least 2 pairs of tires or so by far. So am i just lucky that mine lasted that long or is it normal? also what kind of tires do most of you have and how satisfied are you with them? I'm pretty happy with my Michelins.
i dont drive my car too rough ... i just need something that will last me longer.
Thanks in advance.

Got a nail in my tire few weeks ago... took it to a tire shop to fix it... they said they legaly couldnt do it due to my tire wear... lucky for me i ordered my volks that day... what sucks the most is that there gonna take freakin forever to get here and i need new tires
My rear tires are almost bald at 10000 miles. I was shocked when I realized it. Dont just look at the side tread, its misleading. Now I know why I spun sideways going around a corner - no tread!

Roughly 28K on the Pilots when I swapped them out. I guess I could have squeezed another 5K out of them if I was to swap them side to side, but then winter came and I figured to might as well switch to A/S.
My coupe came with 17 inch Goodyear Eagles. The rear tires went before the front ones, which was around 22K. I thought that was ridiculous.
They were promptly replaced with Toyo Proxes TPT's. Life is good again!

The pilot A/S will last longer than the summer variant; otherwise it depends on how you drive... You can get touring tires which will last longer and are usually cheaper.. its all a trade off between performance and longevity.
But honestly if you put touring tires on with one of those 50k mile ratings, a RWD car like ours will drive like crap.
