picking up my 04 6mtC, what else should i ask for

got call from dealer, car is due in tomorrow. however, my salesguy is starting a vacation, so i agreed to wait one more week.

i asked for all weather floor mats and splash guards.

infiniti website lists the guards at 200 and grubbs is about half that. dealer said he'd get and install them for 140. fine.

the mats he said would be 110. grubbs lists them at 80 but then there is shipping and handling. my guy said he'd also throw in wheel locks and cargo net. plus, he didnt' pass price increase of 250 on to me. so i agreed. figured the shipping and handling would have been almost 20 anyway.

so... anything else i should ask for?

oh, he said the window etching insurance is 119. is this a fair price?

looking for other tips about taking delivery on car.

See if they can cut you a deal with windows tinting. I got mine for 200 bucks.

you should get the key fob things programmed. there is a list of the things that can be changed somewhere on here FAQs or something i think. I think that glass etching is a rip off. Its near impossible to start the car without the key, from what i understand.

Studly, if it's from RayCatena, they throw in the wheel locks and the cargo net for free anyway. Try to get a couple of oil changes for free, if you can. I am not sure if you like the dealer stick-on, but they put them on by default. Before you pick it up, make sure they don't slap that ugly looking badge on, which reads "Ray Catena". That's about it. Good luck! Soon, I won't be the only Diamond Graphite coupe in the area .

zorro,

i was originally going to get from catena, but the salesman didn't seem too interested in my business. i ordered from douglas infiniti, who gave me a nice price break.

i told them off the bat, no dealer name badge. they asked and i agreed to a license plate holder.

will cancel the window etching.

anyone have lo jack, and at what cost.

Sounds like douglas is pretty good. I was going to go with them, but Catena found what I was looking for, and I only had to wait a month, so I went with them. Good luck on your ride!
