Racing a A/T car??
Re: Racing a A/T car??
if you hold the break and push the gas at the same time you can only rev it up to 2600 rpms. dont know why this is but it is weird.

Re: Racing a A/T car??
possibly the torque converter is set at 2600? not 100% sure but that would be my guess. Make sure u ease the peddle in when u let go off the brakes or you're going to lose traction from too much power(i know there is an easier way of saying this but im having a brain fart right now) so yeah...good luck.

Yes, that is correct.. Holding the brakes while revving then releasing is VERY BAD for the tranny and brakes..

SFLG35,
2600 rpm is apparently the "stall speed" for the G35's torque converter. As others have said, this is real hard on the torque converter/transmission. Racing converters have special converter vanes that are brazed in place. I doubt that Nissian/Infiniti does this.
Those who do this might want to start a special savings account. There's a high probability that your local, friendly Infiniti dealer will view this as "racing" damage and not cover it under warranty.
