I used to drive like that with my old nissan 240, but the transmission started to go at like 110k miles, so I'm a little nicer to this one.

g + mrev + spirited driving/LA traffic - using a/c --> 19mpg

my biggest issue with the G is that when i'm cruising at 80 its at like 3k on the tach. my last car made a lot more hp and was at like 2k or less at 80 and got better mpg

I changed up my driving style, not cuz i was punching it all the time but i would always leave in in 6th gear, then to accelerate from 30-50 i wouldn't downshift. At that point i was getting 16-17 mpg. Since then i'm getting 20-21 mpg, with 80% city driving. I work about 5 miles from home so lots of short trips kill me as well. I have K&N Typhoon CAI, but i dont think that affect my gas mileage either way.

That's a fair assessment. During the break-in, I was up at 20+, but now I'm all up in the throttle & have not seen the 20's since.

Not sure what your problem is. It depends on just how much you tap that gas pedal. This past week, I had a record 395 miles on the last tank of gas and still had a bit to go but did not want to test it much further.

It could be better, yeah, but its not horrible.

when i bought the car i drove it home 500 miles, i got 400+miles out of 18.1 gallons. Now 10,000 miles later i get 260 miles out of 16.5 gal.

Whats funny, is that, the new C6 Vette's get better mileage than us, and they happen to carry V8's with 400+ hp....

Ever since I got the MREV installed I got sucky mileage, I tried driving granny style but still, the mpg sucked. I wonder if I should have my G checked but I'm worried about taking it into the dealership.

edit: by the way, is 1 increment on the fuel gauge equal to 1 gal?

I'm getting 21 city and 24 hwy and I have a pretty heavy foot. I always use 93 octane and the only mods are the Ztube and K&N which got me an additional 2 mpg.

17 city and 24-25 highway from my 6mt.

I can't see how some of you are getting a lot more than that in your city driving and how it is so close to highway mileage.
