from what i can see they look good, but it's only like 2x2" you can make em up to 266KB

How did you get bitmap files? Convert them into a jpeg or other format... much bigger pics, smaller file sizes since jpeg is already compressed. Then try to upload or replace the old ones. Or you can try a free pic hosting site.
