While it is possible to find someone willing to do the install, just note that the max tire width recommended by all tire mfgs for your stock 18 or 19" wheels is 245. A quick check of the spec sheet for any of the aforementioned tires will reveal that an extra half inch of wheel width is minimum recommended for the 255.
go to www.tirerack.com any time that you're looking for matches- there are far more offerings than just the 050 and PS2.

Recommend a seach on this subj here, also- there are plenty of posts regarding same.

Cheers,
D

I don't think they have our stock 19" sizes.

front - 245/35/19
rear - 255/40/19
both of these tires sizes are pretty common so you will have more choices.
Falken FK-451, Dunlop SP9000, Toyo Proxes T1R, Hankook Ventus K104
and others are available in these sizes. Much less expensive than the OEM RE050A's too.
Yes, looking at the tire spec chart, your size option gives a closer match on tire diameters (rear little big but...)
front - 25.9" vs. 26.1" so only 0.2" smaller from OEM, also 8" rim is min approved.
rear - 27.1" vs. 26.7" so 0.4" bigger from OEM, also 8.5" rim is min approved.
They seem to be the max approved width combinations for 19" wheels.
Thanks for input.

Order them online from 1010tires.com ... I believe they are based out of Richmond BC, so you could drive to their warehouse and pick them up.
Thanks jdm inspire, I see that they are $314.99 front and $339.99 rear.
Much cheper than PS2 or RE050A, and as you said, decent reviews.

If you're replacing the stock tires, why don't you try Toyo T1R's. I think they come in the OEM sizing. They are more economical than the Michelins or Bridgestones.
Youre right, I also see that fitting 245/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear will increase the tire diameter by 0.7" and 0.8", which seems little too much ...
I think I will go with OEM sizes in Toyo T1R. Thanks.

T1R are not as sticky as PS2. Why save $100/tire to go with a cheaper one that will not perform.

I know what you mean Ted, but they are about $200 more expensive with taxes here in Canada ($517front & $610rear each with tax), that's $800 total savings. My original RE050A lasted 12 months so I wanted to try a go at a less expensive, supposedly longer lasting ones for this time to compare. Depending on how they perform, for the 3rd sets in 2007, I might try Michelin PS2 if benefits in them out weight.

Well, going through the numbers of your choice of tire sizes :
Width - they are at the minimum of approved rim width, for our stock 19" with 8.0" and 8.5", so barely OK.
Diameter - they will be 0.4" and 0.7" smaller than our OEM size tires.
What does it mean, I am not 100% sure yet.
Some say VDC will malfunction, other says not. (I think that it will not affect VDC, since people have had no VDC trouble with different size snow tires. also when you wear out your tire to 0%, you have used up 0.31" of tread so same as driving with smaller tires and no issue)
You might lose 2% of speed in theory, as it will be 2% smaller in circumference of tire.
I think it should be OK, but I decided to go with OEM tire spec on sizes, unless I upgrade the rims to a wider ones...

35/19/33 0-4 034 five

i'm getting damn confused now.

Stock 19's i'll loose .8" if i go with 245/35/19. However, i'll have a wider array of tire choices (more economical with price as well).

Correct?

Where does the 235 and 255/35/19 sizing fit in all of this.
