Auto Seats (coupe)

Ok so I have an 06 coupe and when letting people in the back seat, I pull the lever and the seat back goes forward but the seat doesn't automatically slide forward like my friend 04 coupe. You have to press a little button on the back of the seat to make it slide forward. Is mines the only one like this or is this the same for all the 06 coupes?

Damn, getting frantic people into the car when it rains may leave some scuff marks!! Anyone else?

Another reason others should drive when it's raining.

Never thought of it that way but most of my friends have 2 seaters or tiny little 2+2 cars. So I am usually the one that is volunteered for car pooling. Maybe I should start charging...and have a sign that read "All scuffers will be choked on site!"

DAMMIT!! I wonder why they changed something like that for the 05-06 model. Anyone have any idea? To shave cost? Has it had a history of problems?

I think the power seats in the G35 coupe leave a lot to be desired, no matter what year you have. Letting people in the back seat is such a PITA because the seat back is mechanical, and is always left stright up and down when you are done moving. Also, the lack of memory positions is inexcusable. You would think by the '05-06' model year Infiniti would have a much better seat setup, not a worse one!

power seats

My driver's seat has two memory positions but the passenger has none. My passenger seat will not go back by pressing the button in the back. Anyone else have this problem or a solution?

This happens to me, you have to press the button first then push the seat back.

well when i first got my 06, i didnt know how to work, because that button was pissing me off. But basically, i got the hang of it. you got to pull it forward first and then press the button. when it stops then you let the people sit, then press the button again, and then move the chair down. At first i would click back the chair and press the button and nothing would happen. I thought it was broken, but i was doing wrong

huh, that's wierd (or is it). When the chair is on the way back, if you move the seat back, it stops right where it is instead of coming on back. Guess it takes some getting used to.

I think I have had people in my back seat 5 times since I have owned the car for 14 months.
