airbag indicator?
airbag indicator?
hey guys i recently removed my seats and panels(headliner and A pillar and rear pillar) to run some wires for my system..i did what i had to do and I reconnected all the wires and harnesses under the seat etc. but now my airbag light keeps flashing..is there a reset or special step I need to do?i double checked the harnesses under the seat and they are secure..is there something i am missing?
Are you sure none of these wires you ran are in the way of your side-curtain airbags, which are stored in the roof?
At the speed they deploy, a wire whiping at you that was over the air bag could easily take of an arm or head......

well if you know that there are no problems then you can reset the SRS by doing the following:
you need to put the key in the ignition and tun it to ON, then watch the airbag light. once it goes off turn the key back to off. ( make sure you swith it off before you see the airbag light begins flashing again ) Do this 3-4 times.

was your battery disconnected before you unplugged the airbag wires??
I was always afraid of removing the seats because of this, I knew it would trip the airbag light..but wasn't sure if disconnecting the battery would prevent it.......
