MREV Question

Not having the time to read for hours right now I am cheating and taking the easy way out...or so I hope at least.

I am getting an 05 left over...a new coupe...a 5AT...and I was wondering if you technically call this engine a REV UP or is that designation just for the 6MTS w/298 BHP?

Also, it's been 2 years since I needed to mod anything...and I am a little out of the loop.

Is the Crawford Plenum still the way to go or is the simple phenolic spacers I hear about the new way to go...or again, is that just for the 6MT?

Any info would be great, thanks.

you have a rev-up engine, and i would assume most of the dirivers here would suggest you go with the motordyne mrev kit. it replaces your lower pleennum and add a 5/16th spacer.

The so-called RevUp is installed in the '05+ cars equipped with an 6MT. However, you may wish to read the following .

Thanks man....I just went to the thread that andy2434 referred me to and I am even more confused. It appears all 05-06 G's have the REV up engine, but the 6 spds get better plenum air volume whereas the non 6spds get better lower plenum design which manifests itself into 10 ft/lbs more torque??? Is that correct?

Do I just need the spacer b/t the lower and upper plenum?

Will my crawford V5 upper intake plenum workt with this combo?

It does and can get a bit confusing. You would be well served by sending Tony a PM. He'll straighten everything out for you. Tony is a good person to work with.

the Mrev is for the 05+ 6MT's
however, new evidence shows that it can be used on the non-revup but requires some other things to be done
