factory spoiler or aftermarket imitation
Hi this is my first post and I was wondering what the difference was in the factory spoiler for the coupe vs. the aftermarket one that they also sell at the dealership. By the way I have an 05 coupe (black). They already gave me a pretty good price for both spoiler(factory) and splash guards installed. They also said that there is no visible difference between the two. Money-wise there is a difference of a couple hundred dollars. Thanks alot!

Thanks for the replies so far... but I still don't know how to tell the difference. (basically I'm having a hard time finding a close up photo of the factory vs. aftermarket) I'm going to get the factory spoiler in a few days and I want to make sure that I am getting the oem spoiler. Can anyone post a photo of at least one of these spoilers? Thanks for the help!

I think I've seen an aftermarket factory spoiler in action but i'm not 100% sure. It looked exactly the same but the 3rd brake light on it wasn't very bright. I think you should go factory. I do know that when my ex roommate first got his 2000 Accord coupe, he had an aftermarket replica installed. About a year later it started to leak and water got inside of the 3rd brake light and shorted it out. He went out to buy a factory replacement but found out that it was 1/2 inch too long and couldn't use it.
So I would assume there are differences, but they're so subtle that you can't tell unless you had both of them in hand to compare closely.
