Put the rain to work

It was raining hard in Cali tonight, so i ran outside and soaped up the car. It took about 5min, and it was 1am so i wanted to be quick. I took a quick drive to get most of the soap off in the rain, now the rain is working on washing the rest.

Not the best wash, but it got a lot of dirt off in minimum time/effort. Lazy rain, i finally put it to work.

LOL My black coupe looked terrible after a drizzle on Monday morning, so when we had a thunderstorm in the evening, I drove my car out of the garage and let the driving rain clean it. Although far from perfect, it looked far better after the hard rain.

Nice try but rain water contains dirt and dust in the air. Plus you live in California which = acid rain from pollution that came from exactly what you are trying to clean.

I've done it myself. Never suffered any ill effects from it, but never did it when the car was trashed either. Just dusty.

The following morning I went out and hit it with the hose to rinse away anything that might have settled once the rain stopped, and wiped her down.

No problems. When you live in the pacific northwest, you gotta do what you gotta do. LOL..

Rain?? That's a pretty rare event here in the land of enchantment. I had my G 3 months before I used the wipers.

The point is to get most of the dirt off and make the car look clean, not to get a perfect wash. I looked at it today, and i think it worked quite well, my back bumper and trunk especially since all the dirt gets stuck there.
