on a side note, it would seem you and I share similar tastes. I had an 04 S2000, now have an 06 G35C 6MT, also have an 03 R1 Limited, and an 05 Midnight Warrior with a 240 rear tire, drag bars, taillight integrator, and 1000lbs. eibach rear spring. And my daily driver...05 Ram 2500 4x4 Cummins 6" SL and 37's
Yes we do have similar taste. The tail section is actually from an R6, but is very similar to the R1, so good eye. My Warrior is an 05 Midnight as well, and I too did the 1000 lb Eibach spring, LED tailight with turn signals, and drag style bars.

Do you miss your S, or are you glad you have the G instead?

Are you a member of RSWarrior?

hahaha, they probably bad driver or they were not trying to race you. it's just not total HP, power to weight ratio is a big factor. S2000 can go high 13's on an average driver, you'll probably need Alberto to drive your G stock to go to 13's and lots of power shifting...

Get a bluetooth wireless headset, that should solve your issues with driving with your manual transmission. I love both cars because they both have great looks, both have a decent amount of power but enough room for more. I never driven a S2k but it sure does look fun to drive. I love the sound of VTEC but I love the sound of the VQ35 motor. The sound and performance of a VQ35 motor with turbos is like sex served on a plater. For business reasons the G just offers alot of class. It is a tough choice, but I will have to agree that when you get older you fall away from "toy cars."

i've done some browsing on RSWarrior, but never posted or anything. As far as missing the S, i do miss the convertible a little bit but would never trade the G for it. If i could afford both i would probably get another S2K but i wanted something that, while sacrificing a bit of the sportiness, provided a more refined, comfortable, roomy, and classy ride. The G35C was the perfect car for me. It performs very capably in the twisties, is alot of fun to drive fast, but still gives you a refined feel that makes you enjoy driving slow so much more. The S2K, as you know, just isn't any fun to drive slow. The G35C, even with a 6MT, is just as fun to cruise downtown in as it is to have spirited blasts on the weekends in the twisties. Now, as with the S, there is plenty of room for performance improvement with the G. I would suggest an MREV+ for a good performance gain, and some suspension modifications to eliminate the already negligible body roll. With a slightly modified suspension this car is just as fun to drive as the S. It is definately a different kind of fun (feels like you are driving a Super-Rolls in the twisties as opposed to a Super-GoKart) but puts just as big a smile on my face. Good luck with your decision, and hope this helps.

maybe on Need For Speed II: Underground it is not, but in the real world the same driver in an S2000 will turn better numbers in nearly every performance category than in a G35C. Don't worry little buddy, it doesn't make your car suck or anything, it is just the way the world is. So when your S2000-driving 17 year old buddies learn to drive and start beating you, don't get depressed about it, k?

The S2000 can only beat the G35 in a 1/4 if the driver of the S is willing to abuse his car, i.e., launch at around 5K RPM. Otherwise the G35 will be quicker. The S was built primarily for road courses / autoX and not the drag strip.

Ok, just forget about the driver now. please find me a post here that a STOCK G35 that is consistently running 13's? if you find at least 3 then I'll give you at least 10 S2K that is running high 13's. I sometimes race on the street and usually shutdown around 90-100mph, then i'll see this punk passing me and thinking he won maybe most of them did shutdown and you just drive by them and think you won I want you go to the strip and see if you can break the 13's maybe you're just fast driver.
