Nope - the beauty of it - the non-fouler screws into the O2 bung and the O2 sensor screws into it. You have to drill out non-fouler a little to accommodate the O2 sensor head size that's all. Originally Posted by Mr_pharmD

The principle is that the O2 sensor is spaced back from the flow so it is not fouled out - not in direct flow of the mixture. Basically you are using a spacer to back the O2 sensor away from the flow of the exhaust. The non-fouler has a smaller hole to limit flow as well.
There are some threads as to how much you'll have to drill out to accommodate the O2 sensor head size for spacing.

My friend gave me the way to add the non-fouler.
I just bought the part, then i will try again. I did reset the ECU, the check engine light came back after two hur it didn't work. I have an 05 check my mods below.
this how you should add the non fouler.

If you are getting a CEL (check engine light) after installing high flow cats or test pipes, then you need this easy fix. No expensive 02 simulator is needed. They are more $ and more work than is needed. The HELP! method is tried and proven to get rid the test pipe related CEL.
Get two packs of HELP! Spark plug nonfoulers - part number 42002 or 42009 (either will work) - these are readily available at Autozone, Checker, Pep Boys, etc.
Drill ONLY 2 of the nonfoulers out with a 1/2" drill bit. Fit 1 NON-drilled fouler into each test pipe. Fit 1 drilled nonfouler into the previously installed undrilled fouler on each bank. Finally insert your o2 sensor into the drilled nonfouler and reconnect the wires.
THAT IS IT! Reset your ECU and the CEL will not come back!
