Do we just have plainly loud trannies?

Do our cars just have some loud *** trannies or what? I can hear the clutch disengaging and the gears in and out with even the windows up sometimes. Is it me or is this loud tranny normal?

Maybe I'm deaf, but I don't hear what you are talking about.

I feel a little vibration in the clutch pedal, a little "snick" when it goes into gear, but no clunking, chunking, or whining.

Yes, I too have significant gear noise. So far no mechanical issues, however.
